New and Noteworthy

I have created a new page for the news. Let's revisit some of the "news" of

2007

In March, I sparained my knee {am much better now}
I had finacial relief in June of 2007
Mr. Steven Boyd passed away in his home on July 25th.
In December, I permently closed down Resurrection Dance Company after the last installment of dancers not being able to commit.

2008

January:
Ms. Koon begun the short lived Wenda Koon Danse Ensemble. The ensemble had their dancers,but Ms. Koon was not fully enjoying the fruits of directing and ended in June of 2008.

June:
Ms. Koon's new myspace account is on a 'music' account -- www.myspace.com/wendalynkoon

August:
Ms. Koon recently has applied a for teaching position with two schools in Tomball/Cypress location.

Ms. Koon's rehearsal studio's have moved to 1900 Blalock. Lesa's DanceSations has closed the Bear Creek location {4512 Hwy 6 North}.

September:
Ms. Koon audited a class for Artisian School of Dance {tap}. The director would like to have Ms. Koon on staff...but due to the lack of interest in the tap classes, Ms. Koon cannot accept. However, the director would like Ms. Koon to assist in the Nutcracker rehearsals as a choreographer.

October/November:
In other exciting news, Ms. Koon has taken the time to create reels of choreography. All are finished and is mentioned further in the Presskit section.

And.....Ms. Koon has a journal on mysapace and blogger citing Alice In Chain's frontman, Layne Staley. "I plan to propose a type of memorial to keep Lanye's memory alive through my repertoire. Many ideas are in the making.."

December:
Ms. Koon has recently decided to change the company's name from HK XDance to Resurrection Dance Company; RDC.

Also, I have been updating {as always}...and the colour is one of my favourites--dark purple {or plum, if you like}

2009:

April:
Ms. Koon will produce, choreograph, and perform a Summer repertoire series. Please view the info over at the Performances page.

New website -- www.wendalkoon.webs.com - this site accompies the Summer Rep Series.

September:
Ms. Koon is now venturing out in dance consulatation. Please visit the affiliate site for info {site is still needing updates--but feel free to browse}.

October:
A new location is open to all--Kingwood...see Contact page!

Also, Ms. Koon is looking into leasing a studio in Atascocita---in the works.....but not out ruled.

November:
Master classes this month and the next.
